Leonardo Jardim, who is the Portuguese head manager of Al Ain’s first football team, stressed on the great importance of the United Arab Emirates President’s (may Almighty Allah bless him) Cup, emphasizing at the same time by saying the following statement:“We are well aware that this football tournament is the most precious of all tournaments for everyone, starting with the team’s administration, the team players, the team’s coaching staffs, the team’s loyal fans, as well as everyone who lives on this generous land, because it has a name that is precious in the heart of all of us, it also has a special status for us at Al Ain sports and cultural club. So, we are required to show up with the highest degrees of concentration while dealing with each stage of competition separately through this precious football tournament, so that we can reclaim the tournament’s title and restore it to the club’s cabins once again, which was achieved for the last time back in the year of 2018. As for the team’s players, they are feeling highly motivated and everyone here are determined to claim the tournament’s title for the eighth time. So, I wish that we will be successful in qualifying to the semi-finals stage of competitions through this precious football tournament.”
Commenting on the question over playing vs Al Jazira football club in the current sporting season for the fourth time consecutively, Al Ain’s head coach explained by saying the following statement: “I think that Al Jazira is considered a good football club and has among its ranks a number of distinguished players, but our concentration is always focused on our overall status and our preparations to take on this upcoming match are up to the required level of performance. We also concentrate over showing up with the balanced performance, which allows us to maintain the continuity in claiming more and more positive results out of the matches we play, as well as to qualify to the semi-finals stage of competitions of this precious football tournament with all due respect to the ambitions of the competing team.”
