Jose Barros: We are looking forwards to maintain continuity in claiming the positive results

The qualification chances are equal with the ratio of 50% for each team just before the match kicks off

Jose Barros, the Portuguese assistant manager of Al Ain’s first football team, emphasized that his team’s preparations to take on their upcoming match vs Al Jazira football club on the day after tomorrow, in the match that comes in the second leg round competitions of the quarter finals of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup, are going on very well and normally moving forwards. He Said: “We are well aware that the competition to claim the qualifying ticket to the semi finals round of competitions will be powerful. On the other hand, we are not considering the result of the first leg match which ended up with the result of 1-0, but we are concentrating on preparing very well to face all of the possible challenges in the upcoming match. We are also working on correcting some mistakes that appeared in the previous match, in order to guarantee that we show up with the required performance and to claim the positive result.”

Over the chances of his team to qualify to the next round of competitions, he added by saying: “As I have already mentioned to you, the task will not be easy. We have played two match vs Al Jazira football club in the past period of time and we have managed to successfully claim victory in those two matches, but this does not mean that things will be guaranteed. From my point of view, qualification chances are equal with the ratio of 50% for each team before the match kicks off. While our sought after goal is to claim the qualifying ticket to the semi finals round of competitions.”

Regarding the expected absence of some players from the team’s lineup, Barros explained by saying: “In the coaching staff we rely on the principle of readiness as a major standard in choosing the match’s lineup, so we do not concentrate too much on talking about the players who may be absent in the match as much as we take care of the players who are prepared to a larger extent, accordingly I wish success for my team in maintaining continuity in claiming the positive results.”

Barros concluded his speech with a message to the fans of Al Ain football club, saying:“We are always used to witness the full support and perfect cheering of Al Ain fans for the team, whether on our pitch or on the pitch of the competing team. Accordingly, I expect to see a large fans attendance in our upcoming match in order to support the players and to cheer for them, so they can realize our sought after goal, which is to qualify to the semi finals round of competitions.”
