Khalid Al-Balooshi: Representing UAE in the Intercontinental Cup is a National Duty
Al Ain player Khalid Al-Balooshi expressed gratitude to Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his continuous support, as well as to board member Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mahmoud and coach Hernán Crespo for their trust in the players.
Al-Balooshi highlighted the pride and responsibility that comes with wearing the Al Ain jersey. He stated, “Competing in seven tournaments this season, we feel the responsibility of representing the UAE in the Intercontinental Cup. We will give our best effort to meet expectations and hopefully advance to the final stages, where we aspire to face Real Madrid.”
Drawing inspiration from Al Ain’s 2018 Club World Cup journey, where they reached the final after defeating New Zealand’s Wellington in the opening match, Al-Balooshi emphasized that the team will fight to create more historic memories in this tournament. Despite acknowledging the difficulty of the task, he expressed determination to achieve this goal.
