My injury vs Al Sa’ad football club prevented me from participating in the training sessions and I am proud to be affiliated with the family of Al Ain Football Club.

The Togolese forward player for Al Ain, Kodjo Fo-Doh Laba, expressed his cheerfulness over his return to the team’s group training sessions, after completing his treatment course for the injury that kept him away from his team’s matches for almost one month, asserting: “I have sustained this injury during our match vs Qatari Al Sa’ad in the onset of our journey at AFC Champions League for the elite. I am highly motivated to return to the starting lineup for our next match vs Hatta in the President Cup football tournament. Hopefully, we will succeed in claiming the positive result, which will lead us to the next stage of competition in this tournament.”
He went on: “I would like to thank the coaching and medical staff, my teammates, as well as the fans of Al Ain for assisting me and encouraging me along the rehabilitation period. I will not be divulging a secret if I told you that I tried my best to return to the team’s group training sessions after a short period, but the feelings of pain returned me again to the rehabilitation course at the gym.”
He also said: “At Al Ain, we deal with the spirit of one team and one family, where we spend timetogether at the club and the team’s camps more time than we spend with our families, so we are really one family and this feeling accompanies us on the pitch during the training sessions, during the matches, or during the camps. I am also very proud to be a member of the Ainawi family.”
In response to a question about their preparations to take on their match vs Hatta, he said: “Certainly, the President Cup football tournament is of great importance, especially that it holds the name that is deeply dear and precious to the hearts of everyone who lives at the United Arab Emirates. On a personal level, I am looking forward with my teammates to claim all titles, during the last season, we lost before reaching the final match, but in the current season we are determined to perform our best on the level of all tournaments.”
He went on: “Our task vs Hatta will not be easy because Al Ain is a big club and we start all of our matches with the principle of the final match of a cup, so our competing teams feel very proud for facing Al Ain, they would also be looking forward to performing their best vs the best and most powerful team in the nation and even on the level of the continent, so my confidence is big in my teammates and we will be showing up the spirit of triumph for the sake of claiming the qualifying ticket to the next stage of competitions.”
He concluded his speech with a message to the fans of Al Ain football club, saying: “Ainawi nation are always the best, while the truth is that I miss and long for them, I also feel that they long for me and I have received several kind and motivating messages from them, which helped me a lot to recover and bolstered my morale. I hope to be successful in realizing their ambitions with the end of the current football season.”
