Leonardo Jardim congratulated Al Ain fans over the deserved victory of his team vs Bani Yas
Leonardo Jardim: Scoring four goals and claiming victory don’t mean that we have reached the sought after performance which we are seeking
Leonardo Jardim, the Portuguese manager of Al Ain, expressed his cheerfulness over the deserved victory of his team vs Bani Yas football club. He also congratulated at the same time the Ainawi nation over the positive result and he praised the positive role of the team’s fans, who supported the team players, which resulted in claiming the match’s three points.
During the press conference that came after the end of the match, Leonardo Jardim also said that his team had imposed full control over the match’s playtime, pointing out that his team’s performance, during the match’s first half, was better, where his team was capable of scoring two goals. He explained: “At the beginning of the match’s second half we lost several chances, but we returned to impose our style of play after the minute of “65”, then we were capable of scoring two goals.”
In response to a question whether the team had restored its known performance, Leonardo Jardim explained: “I took on the responsibility of this task only three of four weeks ago, and everyone here works hard to improve the team’s performance. I am happy with this result and the team’s performance, but claiming victory and scoring four goals doesn’t mean that we have reached the sought after goal that we are seeking. Our sought after goal is to improve our performance and claim a better result in the future.”
