We are required to highly concentrate at all matches in order to claim the top position on the standings table

Leonardo Jardim: We are Al Ain and our goal is always to claim victory with all due respect to the ambition for all competing teams

Matches pressure is not an excuse for not being totally ready, but it is an important motivation to show up the spirit of triumphs

Leonardo Jardim, the Portuguese manager of Al Ain, confirmed that the available time space to prepare his team to face Ittihad Kalba is only to claim three points

He added: “It is very important to prepare the team to the extent that enable them to claim the match’s three points and to keep up claiming victories in the local ADNOC Pro League, especially that the competing team is considered the second best defensive line in the local tournament up until now, which is forcing us to highly concentrate in order to avoid the counter attack attempts.”

In his speech during the introductory press conference for the postponed match of the third week of ADNOC Pro League, and it is scheduled to be held tomorrow on Wednesday on the latter team’s stadium, Leonardo Jardim spoke about his evaluation of the Ittiha Kalba team, by saying: “As I have already told you, the competing team has a distinguished defensive line and was capable of claiming two important draws vs Shabab Al Ahli and Al Jazeera, so we have to be dealing with the match with high concentration and great warning, but we are Al Ain football club, while our ambition is always to claim victory with all due respect for all competing teams.”

Oon a question over the team’s defensive ecosystem, Leonardo Jardim explained: “I think that we need to improve and bolster our performance on the defensive and forward sides of football alike. As I have already told you before, football relies on the integrated work and striking the balance on the defensive and forward sides of football at the team’s ecosystem, and this is what we are seeking.”

Over the the matches pressure and the team taking on several matches during a short period of time, the Portuguese manager said: “Reality confirms that matches pressure represents a great motivation for the team in order to show up the spirit of competition and to keep up claiming victories. So, there is no reason to take this matter as an excuse for not being ready, even if the time space is not enough. We always have to deal with the spirit of triumph in order to climb up to the top of the standings table.”
