The Paraguayan player, Matías Emanuel Segovia Torales, the new player to Al-Ain football club’s, expressed his cheerfulness, pride, and appreciation over joining the ranks of the champion club of the Asian continent, asserting that his ambitions are very high with “Al-Zaeem”, who will be taking on some exceptional challenges during the upcoming new season on the continental and global levels, especially in the local tournaments.
Commenting on a question over the reason behind his preference of Al-Ain football club’s offer over the other offers he received, he said: “Reality confirms that Al-Ain football club is a very well know football club, in addition to that this club is nicknamed “Al-Zaeem” and they are very well known on the global level, moreover they have a great name and wonderful reputation on the local and international levels.”
He went on: “It is enough to know that they are the champion team who managed to claim the title of AFC Champions League football tournament 2023-2024, in addition to that, as I have already mentioned to you, they will be competing to claim the title of Clubs World Cup and the Continents Cup football tournaments, so this is something that is not easy for an ordinary football club, but it is something normal for big football clubs, accordingly I say it again that I am feeling very proud for being affiliated with Al-Ain football club.”
In response to a question over the negotiations stage with Al-Ain football club, he said: “I will honest with you, negotiations stage started and concluded very fast due to the highly practical, professional, and elegant conduct which had been adopted by the administration of Al-Ain football club during the stage of negotiations, so matters were very astounding and I was very happy over this matter.”
He added: “I will not be divulging a secret if I told you that I contacted Alejandro Sebastián Romero Gamarra (Kaku), and in his turn he advised me not to hesitate at all before accepting Al-Ain’s offer, emphasizing on the importance of me joining the club within which the spirit of one family is represented, as well as the mutual appreciation, in addition to that everyone here deals highly professionally. His speech made me extremely happy and I am truly overwhelmed with great happiness after joining the team’s training camp at the capital city of Morocco, Rabat.”
Over his feeling towards the songs and hymns which are linked to him and have his name over the social media platforms, he said: “It is for sure that the hymns and songs grant any football player a great feeling and they are granting me the true motive to continuously perform very well, as well as the feeling of pride and cheerfulness especially that I love music and there are several songs that are linked with my name and I feel very proud when I listen to them.”
Over how ready he is to take on the training sessions, he said: “I am always ready and prepared to show the fighting spirit in order to realize my personal ambitions and the club’s sought after goals, which fulfill the aspirations of the team’s fans, followers, and audiences everywhere by managing to claim glory and claiming honorable great results at the world’s biggest football tournament for the champion clubs, as well as facing the world’s best football teams. I do wish to have success for me and my teammates in realizing our goals and to satisfy the fans of our club.”
He went on: “I am very well aware that the team’s coach and administration have confidence in my capabilities and the capabilities of my teammates, so we will be working to perform very well and show our best, we are also required to show the spirit of triumph at all of our matches starting from the onset of the new season up until its finish, so we will be performing very well to defend the logo of Al-Ain football club.”
