Al Ain ranks first on the top of the second group

Al Ain U23 football team have bolstered their lead on the top of the second group after claiming a deserved victory over Al Jazira FC with the score of 2-1. This victory came in the match that brought the two teams together on today’s evening on the pitch of Al Dafrah’s Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This match was in the second round of competitions of the group stage of LEWA international football tournament, which is being organized by Al Dafrah football club under the umbrella of Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
Al Ain scored first at an early timing on the third minute of the match’s first half by their player Ahmed Hijazi, then his teammate Kawa Bastian bolstered their lead by scoring the second goal in the minute of 63. As for Al Jazira, their only goal was scored at the beginning of the match’s second half by their player Niava Herman in the minute of 47.
With this victory Al Ain imposed their hegemony over the top ranking of the second group by claiming the full mark, which is full “6 points”. This score came after claiming two successive victories over Al Kholoud of Saudi Arabia and Al Jazira FC. In the final match of this tournament, “The Boss” will be meeting the team who is on the top rank of the first group with the score of four points, who qualified after claiming a draw vs Al Dafrah FC and by claiming victory over Bani Yas FC, so they claimed four points.
It has been scheduled for the tournament’s final match to be held on Saturday, the 28th of this month, in an anticipated match that will bring together Al Ain FC vs Al Wahda FC in order to determine the champion of the current version of the tournament.
