Vladimir Ivić: We are prepared to play vs Al Wasl.. And we continuously work to improve performance

All players are fully prepared.. And performance within matches is different than training sessions

During the introductory press conference for the match that will be brining his team together with Al Wasl, Vladimir Ivić, who is the Serbian head coach of Al Ain first football team, confirmed that his team’s preparations are going on very well, pointing out that the squad has restored preparedness after returning from Iraq.

Ivić said the following statement: “All players are currently up to a good physical condition.We also have three days before the match, so during which we will be working to prepare with the best way possible, along with full concentration to guarantee reaching full preparedness for this important upcoming match.”

Over his evaluation of the team’s performance and how far it has improved, Ivić explained with the following statement: “We are required to improve our performance in every match we play, whether we claim victory or not. But, if you are referring to our most recent match vs Al Shorta of Iraq, we decided to give the opportunity to those players who did not participate that much in our most recent matches, so we can test how prepared they are under the actual competition atmosphere, because performance during matches is totally different that the training sessions.”

He also added the following statement: “Of course, we had an ambition to claim victory, but we were out of luck. However, we acquired very important information out of that match, we also realized the necessity of keeping up the hard work and doubling up our efforts all day round.”

Over how knowledgeable he is of Al Wasl’s capabilities, the Serbian head coach said the following statement: “I am well aware that Al Wasl is the champion of the past season of ADNOC Pro League, and the team has among its ranks some very excellent players, while its head coach is leading the team for the second consecutive season, but we now concentrate over ourselves and over improving our performance, besides taking good care of some important organizational aspects on the defensive and forward lines of play, so we can show up with the best performance possible and realize our sought after goal out of this match.”

In the conclusion of his speech, Ivić sent a message to the fans of Al Ain, so he said the following statement: “Our fans are always close to the team, so I expect to see a huge fans attendance in our upcoming match, just like what they did in our most recent match on our pitch. While our responsibility is to show up our best performance on our pitch to satisfy them, and we will be doing our best to realize our sought after goals.
