200 Girls Join the Football Activity in Less Than 24 Hours
Programs that Stimulate Healthy Habits and Sports Activities
Commitment to Security and Safety procedures and Child Care Rights

The Organizing Committee of the “Free” Summer Camp for Girls has recently announced this morning the completion of all arrangements for launching the free summer camp programs, scheduled to be held from 4-7 July.

The summer camp will be held in the Khalifa bin Zayed Hall at Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club in partnership with the UAE Professional League Committee (PLC). The camp is dedicated to the age group of 4-13 years. The registration witnessed the remarkable participation of parents in enrolling their daughters. As a result, 200 girls were registered in less than 24 hours in the football activity.

The Organizing Committee pointed out that the Al Ain Club’s organization of the summer camp for girls, which is scheduled to be held in two phases during July and August, stems from the tremendous responsibility towards all members of society and a commitment to the club’s vision and mission.

The Camp Organizing Committee commended the club’s keenness for adopting initiatives that support community service, through which it continued to embody the comprehensive concept of the club, which is not limited to sports activities only.

The Camp Organizing Committee hailed the efforts of PLC staff and its constant keenness to support sports initiatives through the active participation of clubs in all these development initiatives, especially those related to improving services dedicated to serving the community.

The Committee confirmed during the statement published on the official website of the Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club that the remarkable participation of society members and parents upon the announcement of launching the registration in the camp who rushed to enroll their daughters enhances the responsibility of the Organizing Committee.

“We must praise here the efforts of the club, which they have been exerting through following up the procedures to ensure implementing the security and safety of participants and abide by child welfare laws.

The Committee pointed out: “Due to the remarkable turnout, and the completion of the specified number of participations, it was decided to close the registration door in the first phase, which will take place during 4-17 July. However, registration is still open for participation for the second phase, which is scheduled for August 2022.”

They added: “The camp programs are stimulating to play football, and provide the opportunity to participate in sports activities that depend on movement for girls in the Al Ain City under the supervision of specialized football coaches, under the supervision of the medical staff and the Child Care Unit of the club.”

 

In her turn, Nawal Al Hajri, a player for Al Ain Football Club and UAE Women’s National Team player, expressed her happiness and pride in participating in the camp as an assistant coach.

She stressed: “Being a football player contributed to building her self-confidence, which led her to enhance her leadership skills and consolidate the concept of teamwork spirit.”

She added: “during my childhood, I wished to have such opportunities that allow girls to develop their capacities and practice their hobbies in an ideal and stimulating atmosphere to shape their future in football. Moreover, as a player in the UAE National Team, my responsibility is great in the camp, as some view me as a role model. Therefore, I will seek to harness my experience to help the girls.”

Sarah Al Hana’i, a player for the Al Ain Women’s Football Team, said, “I would like to thank Al Ain Club for allowing me to participate in the camp not only to help the girls but also to work with them side by side.

She concluded he statement by saying: “It is not a secret to say that I cannot wait to participate in the camp as football turns out to be more than just a game. Practicing sports contributes to improving the general health of the community and encouraging children and their families to practice healthy and positive habits.”

The Boss Approves the Logo of the Al Ain International Volleyball Championship

Al Ain Club has recently approved the logo of the International Volleyball Championship, which will be held during 18-28 August 2022.

The championship will be held with the participation of Arab, Asian, and African teams and the Al Ain Volleyball Team.

On this occasion, Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, said: “We were keen to offer the fans and lovers of Al Ain Club to attend one of the sports competitions that Al Ain Volleyball Team will take advantage of holding it here in Al Ain City in preparation for the next sports season.”

“It is considered a chance to enjoy a sporting atmosphere and to compete with other teams to win the title of the international championship in volleyball, in which several prestigious teams participate,” he said.

Al Kaabi pointed out that the championship is one of the initiatives of Al Ain Sports Games Company, and Al Ain fans and sports enthusiasts will be on a date with other tournaments that will be announced in due course.

He concluded by stressing that “Today, Al Ain Sports Games has approved the official logo, which symbolizes the sporting challenge under the flag of our beloved homeland. We will announce, in the next few days, other additional relevant details.”

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council, and Chairman of the Board of Directors, issued a decision under which H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan is appointed as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Club and its affiliates.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan also issued a decision to form the Executive Committee of Al Ain Club, chaired by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Members of the Executive Committee shall be the chairmen of the Club’s companies and the Managing Director.

The Executive Committee is tasked to develop long-term strategic plans for the Club and its companies according to priorities and objectives, reviewing annual budgets, amendments to the organizational structure, updates on the power matrix, monitoring organizational performance, performance management, and reviewing financial, administrative and technical reports related to the general policy of the Al Ain Club and its affiliates.

Al Deri Praises the Organization of the Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi Tournamnet.. Fujairah, Kalba and Khor Fakkan Clubs Win Wrestling and Judo Medals

Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Dari, President of the UAE Wrestling and Judo Association, praised the organization, technical level and public success that H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi’s first Ramadan Martial Arts Tournament.

The competition was organized by the Fujairah Martial Arts Club during the period from 15 to 17 April at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah in cooperation with wrestling, judo and taekwondo and boxing associations, under the patronage and honor of His Highness, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, for the closing ceremony of the tournament.

The competitions witnessed the participation of about 400 players, including 180 players from the UAE Wrestling and Judo Association, in the competitions of the first edition. The matched included judo and wrestling for the junior and youth categories, taekwondo and boxing, which witnessed the participation of promising talents in various martial arts games.

Players from various age groups participated in the tournament. This contributed to increasing their experience and benefiting from the cessation of official activity during the holy month of Ramadan.

The President of the Wrestling and Judo Association praised the efforts of H.E. Brigadier General Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Executive Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Chairman of the Organizing Committee. He expressed his sincere wishes to continue and expand its base in various individual martial arts games for the ingenious and societal gains that were achieved.

He stated: “Thanks to the good preparations that were made available to them, a genuine reflection of the directives of His Highness the sponsor of the tournament that led to the success of its first edition.”

The Technical Committee of the UAE Wrestling and Judo Association had approved the results of the individual wrestling and judo competitions. according to the official results the Fujairah Martial Arts Club won 7 gold medals, Kalba Association won 6 gold medals, Khor Fakkan won 4 gold medals, and Sharjah won one gold medal.

The winners of the Fujairah Club were Masoud Mohammad, Sultan Fahd, Khamis Hamdan and Abdullah Khamis (wrestling), Yazan Murshid, Saeed Al Naqbi, Sultan Al Houti (Judo). Ittihad Kalba winners were Rashid Nematov, Malik Moweed (wrestling), Ahmed Jassem Krisov Makridin, Isruel Norev and Alrov Verek (Judo). As for Khorfakkan Club winners, they were Hamad Abdullah, Muhammad Walid Al Naqbi, Hamad Al Hashemi and Abdul Rahim Al Saad (wrestling). Al Sharjah sole gold medal was won by Harib Jumaa Abdul Rahman.

Khwaiter: The New-fangled Achievement Gives us a Sense of Pride and Hope to Jiu-Jitsu in Al Ain and the UAE in the Future

Khwaiter Al Dhaheri, Board of Directors member of Al Ain Sports Games Company, hailed the newfangled achievement of the Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu U-16 Team. The team was crowned with the most valued title, the President’s Cup U-16. The competitions were held at the Arena in Abu Dhabi over the past two days, April 8 and 9.

Al Dhaheri commended the achievements of the Boss’ junior team for snatching the precious title, stressing that it gives the Club a sense of pride and hope for the Jiu-Jitsu game in Al Ain Club and the UAE in the future.

He added: “These players are the hope and the future. They have achieved a great accomplishment by winning the U-16 President’s Cup. We look at them as the right tributary of the Jiu-Jitsu game for Al Ain Club and the UAE national team in the future. We are placing great hopes to wining more regional and continental titles.”

He also stressed that the Jiu-Jitsu game has become one of the games that have become more popular and attracted attention in UAE, and “we look forward to supporting this distinguished group of young people.”

Al Dhaheri pointed out: “The players, the coaching teams and administrative staff, and everyone who contributed to this achievement deserve praise and appreciation for the good performance and high level of skills exhibited in the tournament ended by winning the title. It is a collective work from all the team members that led the team to be crowned by the title.”

On this occasion, Al Dhaheri hailed the efforts exerted by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Association for the excellent organization.

“It is not surprising, as they are always creative and perfect organizers of sidelines activities of the tournament. Moreover, they are always there to support and promote such local tournaments relying heavily on their technical expertise. Moreover, they are known for providing the appropriate atmosphere to develop the players’ skills during those ongoing competitions organized annually,” he said.

Khwaiter urged the players to strive and develop themselves and their skills in cooperation with the coaching teams, continue winning titles at all levels, and be up to expectations.

He said: “You are now the champions of a great title. You are the hope of our Club, and we always think big of you. You should be patient, have a high concentration level, and cooperate with the coaching teams to win more titles.

He put an accent on the importance of adopting the spirit of one team and diligence in training that leads to self-affirmation.

Al Dhaheri concluded his statement by saying: “The future is before you to raise the flag of your Club and the flag of the United Arab Emirates high in all regional, continental and international competitions.”

During the Unique Event Organized by “SEHA”.. Active Participation in the Event Organized by Al Ain Club Marking the World Health Day

Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, and its subsidiaries, participated in the World Health Day event organized by the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, “SEHA” held at the Al Ain Zoo, this morning.

The event witnessed the participation of several public and private institutions and entities, most notably Abu Dhabi Police, Emirates Heritage Club, University of Emirates and Al Ain University.

The participation of Al Ain Club was effective and distinctive, as it included football skill displays performed by the Al Ain football school and academy players, under the supervision of the coaching teams. The spectators were allowed to participate in the show. In addition to the coaching teams supervised training sessions for all sports adopted by the club. The Al Ain Club shows received remarkable attention of the fans and great praise from the audience.

The event started with a march in front of the Al Ain Wildlife Park gate. The event program included distinct and varied shows, including questions and answers session under the supervision of the Public Relations Department of the Al Ain Police Directorate and the a great show performed by the police dogs “K9” supervised by the Security Inspection Department in Al Ain. It also included competitions and heritage questions, under the supervision of the UAE Heritage Club. The event agenda included various sports activities, questions and competitions presented by the UAE and Al Ain universities.

In Zayed Library.. Al Ain Club Organizes a Cultural Event Under the Theme “Ramadan: A Month for Worship and Health”

Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club has organized this evening at Zayed Library in Al Ain a cultural event under the theme “Ramadan Worship and Health”.

The event was held in cooperation with the Department of Culture and Tourism, the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments and Royal Health Group.

The agenda of the cultural event incorporated a variety of programs, including an introductory video about Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club and its companies, in addition to two lectures, the first entitled, “Memorable Moments”, which was delivered by Dr. Ammar Ibrahim – the preacher at the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments. The second lecture was entitled, Health Preventive Messages During the Month of Ramadan delivered by Dr. Abdullah Al Nuaimi- Consultant of Cardiovascular Surgery at Royal Health Group.

The event received a remarkable interaction from male and female students and a large number of people interested in cultural affairs in Al Ain.

At the end of the event, Al Ain Club was keen to honor the participating parties in the event and present them with the Club’s shield.

H.E. Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of Al Ain Sports Games Company, congratulated the UAE Wrestling and Judo Federation, chaired by H.E. Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Darei, on the unprecedented achievement of our UAE National Judo Team who officially clinched the title today.

By the end of the championship held under the patronage of Prince El Hassan bin Talal, the UAE Team was crowned with the men and youth titles in the Arab Championship for the national teams and clubs represented by males and females.

The championship was kicked off yesterday at the Arena Hall at Amman Al Ahliyya University. The competitions witnessed the participation of 315 male and female players from 17 countries, namely: UAE, Djibouti, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya and Morocco, Palestine, Qatar, Syria, Egypt, Yemen and Lebanon in addition to Jordan, the host country.

In press statements published on the Club’s official website, Al Kaabi stated: “The achievement of our national judo team at the level of men and youth categories is a source of pride and honor. It is an expected result that reflect the sublime care, generous support and unlimited attention of our wise leadership to sports and athletes in our blessed homeland. Add to that the great efforts exerted by the UAE Judo Association to furnish all grounds of success to our heroes to represent the country honorably. All of these represented genuine motives to move forward to win more titles in the name of our beloved homeland in all “international” competitions in all sports.”

It is noteworthy that the UAE National Youth Team won the Arab Judo Championship winning 3 gold medals by the youth players. Moreover, the UAE National Judo Team added a new achievement to the UAE sport by winning the Arab Judo Championship for the men’s category with 3 medals (two gold and one bronze). They also won the fifth place in the under-73 kg weight category as Mago Maarouf and Nogzari won the gold medals and Khalifa Al Hosani who won the bronze medal. Meanwhile, the young player Saeed Al Naqbi ranked fifth after winning the gold medal in the under 73 kg weight category yesterday.

The UAE National Judo Team succeeded in adding a new title to the UAE sports by winning the title of the Arab Judo Championship for the men’s category with 3 medals (two gold and one bronze) and the fifth place in the under-73 kg weight category. The new achievement was realized following winning the gold medal in the under 73 kg weight category for youth yesterday.

The two players, Majo Maarouf and Nojzari, won the gold medals, and Khalifa Al Hosani won the bronze medal. Meanwhile, the young player Saeed Al Naqbi ranked fifth after winning the gold medal in the under 73 kg category yesterday.

Clinching the new golden achievement and the Arab golden title were achieved following playing against big teams who participated in the Arab Judo Championship for men and women teams.

The competition was held at the Arena Hall at Al Ahliyya Amman University under the patronage of Prince Al-Hassan bin Talal and would continue until 31st March 2022 with the participation of 16 countries, namely: UAE, Djibouti, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya and Morocco, Palestine, Qatar, Syria, Egypt, Yemen and Lebanon in addition to Jordan, the host country.

H.E. Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Derie, President of the UAE Wrestling and Judo Association, was keen to contact Mr. Nasser Al Tamimi, Secretary-General of the UAE Wrestling and Judo Association and the Secretary General of the International Judo Federation, representative of the International Judo Federation in the tournament, and Mohammed Jassim Al Sajwani, Assistant Secretary and Member of the Arab Judo Federation and Head of Mission.

Al Derei congratulated the players, coaching teams and admin staff for this newfangled achievement, which is to be added to the series of distinguished results achieved by the team during its current championship and winning the title of the Arab Championship for Youth and Men as well.

He stated: “These honorable results are the reflection of the great technical level of the team members they exhibited during this tournament. They are armed with determination, strength of mind and the desire to overcome challenges with sights set to win the title and raise the name of their country high through the Arab sports event. I wish the men, women and youth teams all the best of success to achieve more victories for UAE sports.”

On this occasion, the mission players expressed their thanks, appreciation, and pleasure by Al Derei’s phone call and stressed that the achievement is attributed to the care and support that the team received from the wise leadership and the efforts and follow-up of the President of the Association personally.

They all added that the team looks forward to continuing to reap the achievements in the upcoming tournaments, in a way that enhances the progress and prosperity of the UAE sports has already reached in various fields.

Ahmed Jasem, Hareb Jumaa and Saeed Al Naqbi are the Golden Heroes

Al Derei: The Arab Youth Title is the Starting Point of the Journey and a Reflection of the Leadership’s Support

By the end of the championship held under the patronage of Prince El Hassan bin Talal, the UAE Team was crowned with the men and youth titles in the Arab Championship for the national teams and clubs represented by males and females.

The championship was kicked off yesterday at the Arena Hall at Amman Al Ahliyya University. The competitions witnessed the participation of 315 male and female players from 17 countries, namely: UAE, Djibouti, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya and Morocco, Palestine, Qatar, Syria, Egypt, Yemen and Lebanon in addition to Jordan, the host country.

Noteworthy, the Kuwaiti national team ranked second with two golden medals. Jordan was placed third with one golden medal. The Algerian and Syrian teams also won ne golden medal.

It all started when Harib Abdul Rahman Juma’a won the gold over 100 kg after beating the champions of Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Ahmed Jasim Al Tumairi won the golden medal of under 60 kg category by defeating the champions of Algeria, Jordan, Iraq and Syria in the final match.

Saeed Al Naqbi won the golden medal in the under 73 kg weight category, surpassing the champions of Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Palestine and Jordan in the final match. The championship competitions continued yesterday at the men’s singles level, and the men’s team will play today, Friday, its matches at the team level.

On this occasion, H.E. Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Derei, President of the UAE Wrestling and Judo Association, congratulated the UAE mission for their distinguished achievement. He hailed the achievements of the UAE youth team who won the Arab Youth Championship as an unprecedented achievement for UAE Judo.

He stated: “This would be an incentive for the rest of the team members to achieve more desired positive results during the competitions and in its remaining weights despite the strength of the championship competitions. These competitions include many strong candidate teams.”

Al Derei stressed that the coronation of the young team was a fruitful reflection of the support and direct care of the wise leadership in the sports segment and athletes.
“This achievement also reflected the integrity of the plans and programs recently developed by the UAE Association with its interest in the youth sector,” he said.
He expressed his pride and honor of the Board of Directors for this important achievement, which will inevitably contribute to motivating many athletes in judo and other games, and will also support the march of development of the UAE sport during the coming days.
