The Boss Plays Three Friendlies During the April’s Break
During the current break, the Boss squad resumes their preparation program, holding a training session this evening at Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium.
It is the first training session for the players who were on a short break granted by the head coach following matchweek 20 of the ADNOC Pro League against Al Wasl. The Boss defeated the guests 3-2 to put firm hands on the top spot and maintain the 7-point gap between Al Ain and the arch-rivals.
Ahmad Al Shamesi, Manager of Al Ain First Team, stated: “The team will play three friendlies during the current break. The first match will be against Gulf FC of the First Division. The game will be held on Thursday 14th April 2022. The second match will be played on the 19th or 20th of April, which will be confirmed soon. The third friendly match would be, as announced earlier, against Saudi Arabia Al Ittifaq on Sunday 24th April 2022.
“Ukraine’s Sergiy Rebrov adopts an ideal strategy in getting the squad players in form. He also gives the Al Ain Football Academy the significant players the chance to play with the first team during the many breaks,” Al Shamesi stated in a press statement published by the Club’s official website.
He concluded his statement by saying: “This is done by involving them in the training sessions and playing the friendlies. Of course, this is done through direct coordination with the Al Ain Team Supervisor and the Academy Sector. Definitely, the team achieved substantial gains from this approach adopted during the current season.”
