Ahmed Abdullah: Al Ain’s Performance Against Al Wasl Was Satisfactory but The Result Was Not So bad

In the post-match press conference held following the end of the match between Al Ain and Al Wasl, Al Ain’s Head Coach Assistant Ahmed Abdullah said: “The two teams had a great match and entertained their fans, but the result was not satisfactory for us because Al Ain already lost two points at home and among their fans while the visitors snatched a precious one point. All of us noticed their big smile by the end of the match.”

“The team did their best but they missed the good luck in the area of the opponent. Indeed, Al Ain was able to settle the score in the first half of the match and even in the second half in comparison to the lost chances within the opponent’s box. Add to that the referee’s unfortunate decisions according to others comments following the end of the match and we will watch the match again and assess them,” added he.

He also stated: “The team that misses opportunities in any football match, definitely will make their mission more difficult to achieve the desired result against the opponent. I do wish success to the team un their coming matches.”

As for Douglas’ performance in the match, he said: “I think that Douglas played one of his best matches today and as a striker, besides fulfilling certain defensive roles magnificently.”
