Zoran Mamic, Head Coach of Al Ain FC, addressed the media representatives at the post-match following the end matchweek 13 between Al Ain and Hatta by stating: “Congratulations for my team players who were tasked tonight to defend the “Boss” logo. It was not an easy match compared to the team’s current conditions because of missing a number of key players.”

“In general, the match was good and we achieved the desired result. However, our back line missed their fighting spirit and we missed lots of chances to score during our attack attempts over the two halves,” said he. He went on by saying: “We have to focus on our next match and the good news is that three suspended players will rejoin our squad to one of the injured players.”

Responding to a question on the current condition of the team suffering from several absences and state of readiness of 18 players to defend the team’s logo in the coming challenges, he said: “It is certainly better to have a fully ready squad, especially as my team will be facing important challenges at all local and continental levels.” He pointed out: “Personally, so happy to have my team’s lines complete and I consider myself as that coach who wants to give all players the chance because we are competing in four competitions. This entails that we have to prepare as many players as possible to defend the club’s name in all upcoming matches.”

He added: “I am so satisfied with the team’s performance and my confidence in Al Ain players is immeasurable to exhibit an honorable performance in the next stage set my sight to achieve a better performance than we did today in our next game because our strategy depends on considering and dealing with each game separately.”

On Ahmad Khalil’s first personal goal with the team, he underlined: “Actually, any striker is required to score during his team’s matches. It is good to succeed in translating the efforts of your teammates on the turf into goals.” He concluded: “We must not forget that Ahmed Khalil has not been playing for a long time due to injury following joining Al Jazira FC. Personally, so happy to have him onboard and to sign for the “Boss” as he is a quality high-caliber striker who needs more time to improve his fitness.”
