Al Ain beats Al Dhafra 2-1, ends first half with 25 points in pocket

At Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium, Al Ain beat Al Dhafra 2-1 in the last round of the Arabian Gulf League’s first half.

With all second-half goals in the 11th fixture against Al Dhafra, the Garden City Club hit the 25th point thanks to its seven victories and four draws.

Al Ain has controlled the game from the beginning and made the great benefit of chances to score.

Mohamed Abdulrahman started the scoring in the 50th minute with a long-range effort that was not saved by the rivals’ goalkeeper.

In the minute 59, substitute Ibrahim Diaky scored after a one-two with Markus Berg.
Al Dhafra pulled one back at the end through substitute Saeed Al Katheeri.

After the Al Dhafra’s goals, Al Ain players fought hard to keep the 2-1 score.

The win put Al Ain up the top of the standings past Al Wasl. Al Wasl are currently sitting ahead Al Ain on away goals.
