Al Ain FC Chairman hails performance in game against Saudi giants in Jeddah
HE Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, the Chairman of Al Ain Football Club Company, has hailed the great performance of Al Ain in the game against Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli in the AFC Champions League Group C fixture at the latter’s own backyards at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium “The Shining Jewel” in Jeddah.
In statements following the game, Al Hajeri said that players of Al Ain are always able to overcome challenges and they are always desirous to win the continental tournaments, pointing out that the strong personality of the UAE team gives the team management confidence that the players will have a performance that fits the UAE football reputation.
He also hailed Zoran Mamic “who gives the chance to youngsters to take part in the team’s important games, cementing their experience and securing the future of Al Ain.”
Mamic proved that he is the man of the stage who is able to make a balance needed in the team in the upcoming times, Al Hajeri said.
The chairman stressed that the team still has the chance to qualify for the next stage of the Asian tournament, explaining that the team’s remaining games include two at home and only one away.
Al Hajeri expressed confidence in the players to assume responsibility of having great performance to reach the next stages of the continental tournament.
The head of the Garden City Club praised the great efforts exerted by the UAE Consulate in Jeddah to ease the team experience in the Saudi capital. He thanked UAE Consulate General in Jeddah for the warm welcome.
