Al Ain FC draw with Baniyas FC before Korea departure

Al Ain FC draw 2-2  with BaniYas FC after an interesting confrontation that took place this evening at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, in the sixth round of the Arabian Gulf Cup, in Group B, where Asprilla scored in minute 62 for Al Ain FC the 1st goal  and then his teammate Douglas boosted the result in the 70th  minute when he scored the second goal, while the Colombian Alejandro Daniel scored for Baniyas FC in minute 73 and his colleague Larrivey in minute 80, which made Al Ain FC to raise his tally to 5 points and Baniyas FC to two.
Asprilla waited until minute 62 to give his team the lead after a rocket shot from the left-wing that sat in Baniyas’s  net, as he took advantage of Ahmed Berman’s tricky  pass behind the defenders, and just two minutes after that Alkathairi missed a valuable scoring opportunity in front of the goal after a concerted attempt between Caio and Dikay.

It seemed that Al Ain FC squad was on their way for a big win, after showcasing a brilliant control, in the field at the beginning of the match, however they didn’t take advantage of opportunities in front of Baniyas’s excellent goalkeeper Adel Abu Bakr, however Douglas didn’t miss an opportunity to strengthen Al Ain FC position in the match, by scoring a ball in Abubakar’s  corner in the 70th minute.

Baniyas team didn’t give up easily and showed great courage to put pressure on Al Ain FC using Bastos and Larrivey duet skills which was greatly impactful and then the Colombian Daniel Alejandro changed the scene after a free kick  that was directly plugged into Khaled Issa’s net in the 73rd  minute.

Daniel’s goal, gave an excellent push for Baniyas players, as they shown heavy attacks towards Al Ain FC’s defense line to even the score in the 80th minute through Larrivey after an excellent pass from Bastos behind the defenders.

Al Ain FC tried to put pressure on Baniyas defense line in the last minutes, trying to score the winning goal but every chance they got was untapped until the referee Abdullah Al Ajil blow the whistle ending  the match with a result of  2-2 draw.
