Al Ain FC Ready to Defeat Uzbekistan’s Swallows
Eager to win and snatch the three points, Al Ain FC flied to Uzbekistan to play against Bunyodkor FC, known as “Lastochka” that means “Swallows” in the second round of the AFC Champions League’s group stage. The game will be played at 5:00 p.m. (Abu Dhabi local time) and 6:00 p.m. (Tashkent local time).
Al Ain, nicknamed as the “Boss”, depends on its long experience in the Asian tournament, the team’s great potentials and the desire of all to show challenging spirit and to go far in the tournament.
The UAE club, Asian Champions League winner in 2003 and runners-up last year, also depends on their always-great performance in Uzbekistani stadiums, as the UAE giants lost only one game there in the AFC Champions League against Pakhtakor in 2010.
As part of the Asian tournament last season, Al Ain played two games in Uzbekistan. The first was against Nasaf Qarshi in the group stage that ended in a draw. In the quarterfinals, the Boss defeated Lokomotiv as Caio struck the game’s only goal.
