Al Ain Held to a Draw Against Hatta in Arabian Gulf Cup
The Group A bottom-dwellers in last season’s Arabian Gulf Cup, managed a creditable 2-2 draw against Al Ain in the latter’s backyard.
The match brought together the two teams at Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium at Al-Ain Club in the first round of the Arabian Gulf Cup. The Group A also includes Al-Jazira, Al-Nasr, Al-Dhafra and Ajman teams.
Mahir Jasem and Fernando Gabriel scored two early goals for Hatta. Al Ain responded with goals in either half from Yousef Ahmed and Caio Fernandes to eke out a draw.
Al-Ain player Saeed Juma was sent off after being shown a second yellow card in the 86th minute.
