Al Ain FC was held to a goalless draw in matchweek 6 of the Arabian Gulf Cup against the Emirates. The match was held at Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Stadium at Al Qattara.

The match was slow and lacked excitement completely as Al Ain had already qualified to the quarterfinals officially after winning Al Fujairah in the last round. Seconds before the full-time whistle, Al Ain were brought down to 10 men, as Ahmed Jamal was shown a red card following a challenge on Waleed Al Mazrouei.

Following the draw, Al Ain occupy Group B’s second spot with 13 points from six games. Meanwhile, Emirates sit fifth with just five points.
