While assessing the pros and cons of his team’s match against the emirates, the Croatian head coach of Al Ain Zoran Mamic stated that there was no excitement in this match at all despite the numerous chances to score against the guests. “However, we achieved several gains out of this match, most importantly, giving the opportunity for young players to increase their actual minutes of playing in official matches, in addition to other positive points that need to be achieved in the right manner. In general, I am happy and satisfied by the players’ performance tonight.”

“We have seen in tonight’s game young players who enjoy good quality and the right skills to defend the logo of the Boss in the near future. Definitely, we will keep an eye on their progress and do our best to improve their level of performance to be more confident and have the desire to achieve their personal aspirations and goals,” Zoran added.

He underscored: “We look forward to giving them more opportunities, given that the team is meant to compete in four major competitions this season. I believe that there are also significant players in U-18 team who could be offered such a valuable opportunity.”

Zoran hailed the performance of Saeed Al Menhali following a year and a half of absence due to injury.

He also underscored that the AGL competition is the most important one for him and it has his own priority. “We are focusing in the coming three matches which are more important than the FIFA Clubs World Cup at the moment. This comes in line with my technical strategy which makes me deal with each game separately.”
