Al Ain Loses Super Cup on Penalties

Al Wahda won Al Ain in the Arabian Gulf Super Cup on penalties by 4-3 following the end of the original time by a draw 3-3 in the match held at the Air Defence Stadium in Cairo.

Al Wahda took the lead in the first half by three clean goals sored by Ismael Matar “5” and Batna “7”. At the “35” minute, Berg failed to score a penalty kick flowing tackling El Shahat inside the box. As the two teams were about to go to the first half break, Batna scored A Wahda’s third goal.

In the second half, Zoran replaced Barman by Rayan Yaslam and the “Boss” dominated the match and it took the team long time to score their first goal at “62” by Berg. At “73” minute, Diaky scored Al Ain’s second goal from the penalty point. Al Ain was able to come back and Caio levelled up the result by scoring the team’s third gaol “76”. Al Ain exerted lots of pressure and Diaky sent a powerful shot by hit the cross bar “85”. The two teams tried their best to take the lead until the end of the match. The match ended by playing penalty kicks and Al Wahda won the match by 4-3.

Substitutions: Rayan Yaslam replaced Ahmad Barman and Diaky replaced Shiotani.
