In the pre-match press conference dedicated for the match of the Super Cup between Al Ain and Al Wahda, the head coach of Al Ain Zoran Mamic stated that Al Ain has not been affected by Amoory’s transfer to Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal and that the team proved that during the match they played without him in the past season. “We have to forget this issue and focus on the challenges awaiting the team this current season,” said he.

On the team’s preparations for tomorrow’s match, he said: “Actually, training sessions did not go well as required and it is only tonight that team will carry out their first training session as we were obliged to cancel yesterday’s session and only practicing muscles release therapy at small fields at the hotel. Add to that we missed our international players in the last phase of the preseason training camp which is not good at all for the players, the national team or the clubs. We tackled this issue many times and tried to have a meeting with the head coach of the national team to find an optimal solution for all parties but in vain.”

Zoran hailed the attendance of numerous and significant number of Egypt’s media representatives to cover the UAE’s Super Cup match while pointing out that Hussein El Shahat stated that Egypt’s media is influential and balanced in tackling sport issues. He signed off by expressing his pleasure to be in Cairo.
