Al Ain Loses to Al Jazira by 1-2

Al Ain FC lost to Al Jazira by 1-2 in matchweek 6 of the Arabian Gulf League held at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on Saturday 20 October 2018.

The Boss took the lead in the first half by 1-0 scored by Marcus Berg “33”. In the second half, Al Jazira were able to level up through Leonardo Pierera “85”, and in five minutes the substitute,Yaqoub Al Hosani, scored his team’s second goal “90”.

By this result, Al Ain retreats to the third place with 13 points in their balance. Meanwhile, Al Jazira moves up to the second spot holding 14 points.

Al Ain dominated the match since the kickoff whistle forcing the guest team to retreat and defend their last third area and play conservatively to mitigate the flow of Ainawi flow of attacks. It took the Boss 33 minutes to turn their field superiority into a perfect goal held the signature of Sweden Marcus Berg when he received a deft cross from Mohammed Abdul Rahman where Berg was in the right place and time to square it and sent it powerfully into the furthest corner of Ali Khsiaf’s back net.
