The Croatian Head Coach of Al Ain FC admitted that the substitutes were not of an added value to the performance of the team and that he was not lucky enough in his decisions. He stated in the post-match press conference held by the end of his team’s clash match giants Al Jazira: “The opponent fulfilled their tasks and turned the opportunities he had into two goals in our net. Meanwhile, the Boss players missed numerous chances to score and as per the well known rule: if you do not score, you will be punished. We have to learn from lessons of tonight’s match and fix things went wrong in the coming matches through hard work and be more focused,”

Commenting on a question on his team low performance in the second half, he said: “It is true. We conceded a goal in the last minute of our match against Fujairah in the dying minutes and tonight we conceded two goals. It happens in football. However, as I stated earlier I am held liable and also responsible for the substitutions I made which were not of an added value to the team and they did not achieve why they re meant to do. The players’ passes were wrong in several occasions and when we lost the ball their reaction was not in the right manner.”
