The Board of Directors of Al Ain Football Club Company commenced the first steps of improvement by appointing new coaching team led by the Ukrainian, Serhiy Rebrov. The following steps incorporated signing new foreign players to the team’s lineup, namely: Argentine playmaker, Christian Guanca, who signed to the team on loan coming from KSA Al Shabab, in addition to the “international” defender the Tunisian Yassine Meriah, coming from Greece Olympiacos FC. Yesterday, it was officially announced signing the fourth foreigner to the team, Moroccan international Soufiane Rahimi.

Abdullah Ali, Al Ain Team Supervisor, said that Soufiane’s desire and great ambitions made it easy for us to sign him to Al Ain lineup. The Moroccan player said that he preferred the “Boss” offer over all the offers he received.

The Al Ain Club has completed the deals of the foreign players since Al Ain announced ahead of the beginning of the current season the renewal of contracts of Togo’s “international” striker Laba Kodjo. The Club also signed Sultan Al Shamesi, one of the stars of our league last season, who was playing for Bani Yas. Additionally, the Club signed the exceptional goalkeeper Sultan Al Mantheri, coming from Al Wasl. It was also announced signing Saeed Ahmed from Shabab Al Ahli to the list of resident players. The last player to sign to Al Ain lineup was the Ivorian Kwame Aton, the former defender of Khorfakkan Club.

Noteworthy, negotiations door is still open to sign distinguished players, residents and Emiratis, to the team lineup until the summer transfer window is closed.
