On this occasion, Abdullah Ali, Al Ain Team Supervisor, said that the strong desire of Moroccan player Soufiane Rahimi to join Al Ain Club and his grand ambitions to play for a big club might lead to having extra time to sort out all issues before signing the contract.

He stated that certain reasonable factors might result in the late announcement of the final agreement, including the Al Ain’s offer and the negotiating committee’s professionalism in handling the details of Rahimi’s dossier, who received several offers at the same time from local, Arab and European clubs.

Abdullah pointed out that having Rahimi on board will be of an added value to the Boss lineup, given that he won the title of the “Season Star Player” during the past two seasons, and “we wish him all the best along with his teammates this season.”

Al Ain Supervisor expressed his appreciation to the Board of Directors of Al Ain Football Club Company, chaired by Dr. Matar Al Darmaki, for their keenness to fulfill all the requirements to achieve the desired goals in the current season, beginning with contracting with technical staff at the highest level and then identifying the team’s needs and working to sign star players to the team’s lineup.

He added: “I cannot fail to thank the management of Raja Club for their professionalism in handling the transfer processes flawlessly. Therefore, we avail this chance to congratulate them and the fans of the “Green Eagles” for winning the title of Mohammed VI Cup for Arab Champions Clubs, also wishing KSA Al Ittihad Club all the best in the coming competitions.”

Abdullah Ali indicated that the player, Soufiane Rahimi, completed all the procedures related to his official registration in the team’s lists.

As for the team’s plans during the FIFA Days, he said: “It is scheduled to play one or two friendly matches at the request of the coaching teams under the Ukrainian head coach, Serhiy Rebrov. The updated details will be announced soon. The coach decides to grant Rahimi the chance to play into the coming match in Wednesday’s game against the Emirates based on whether the player is ready or not. The team coach determines this.

In turn, Moroccan Soufiane Rahimi expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, First Vice President of the Club, First Vice President of the Al Ain Honorary Council, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, for his highly appreciated trust in him. “This definitely gives me a push to spare no effort in serving the team-best interests. indeed, it is an honor for me to be part of the Boss squad.”

Rahimi added: “I would also like to thank the Board of Directors of Al Ain Football Club Company, the coaching teams, and the Al Ain fans for the great and unlimited support I received from them, before and after signing my contract with the ClubClub. I want to assure them that my great desire to wear the Al Ain’s jersey led to conclude all matters early and close the chapter of negotiations with some Clubs that submitted offers to buy my card from Raja Casablanca.”

“I watched the Boss in FIFA Club World Cup- UAE 2018. At that time, the whole world agreed that Al Ain is the pride of the Arabs. I also watched the team’s match against Khorfakkan, and I was so pleased with the result,” he said.

Soufiane Rahimi went on to say: “I repeat that I am very proud to wear the Al Ain jersey and defend the Club’s badge alongside my teammates, especially since some of them were stars in the FIFA Club World Cup- UAE 2018, including Khaled Eisa, Bandar, Mohamed Ahmed, Barman, Yahiya and others.

He concluded his statement by saying: “I promise everyone to spare no effort to serve the best interests of the team and do my best and show fighting spirit in defending the “Boss” badge. I do look forward to winning titles and championships with the Boss of the UAE clubs while wishing all my teammates the best of luck this season.”
