Spain’s Head Coach of Al Ain FC, Juan Carlos Garrido, stated that all the team’s players are doing their best in the training sessions and work seriously with high level of concentration to keep going in achieving the best positive results in the Arabian Gulf League.

“We are on the right track! I am really so happy by the team’s performance since I assumed my responsibilities, though the tactics are new and we adopt different style of training and physical and mental preparations. However, and as I stated previously in several occasions, we are here to help the team to do their best through showing their genuine fighting spirit and determination seeking to achieve the desired goals,” he said during the pre-match press conference dedicated for the matchweek 17 of the Arabian Gulf League.

He added: “Our competitor to win the coming match’s three points is a good team and I know their head coach personally. I do believe that Shabab Al Ahli Dubai is a well-organized team and adopts solid compact defence style. It will not be an easy match, but t is good to paly against a strong team. My players understand that it needs a high level of concentration and great efforts to win such clash matches and snatch the three points, with all due respect to the aspirations of Shabab Al Ahli Dubai.”

“Everybody knows that Al Ain is a big team and their ambitions will never soar below the sky. The club has a crystal-clear vision and a successful strategy. The main goal is to play a genuine and real football through which we could win local and continental titles and above all make the loyal fans happy.”

On his preparations for the coming match, he said: “I did highlight for the team’s players the importance of the fact that we should only focus on one match only. Indeed, this goes in line with my strategy to prepare for each match independently. This is what we were focusing on during the past training sessions despite the short period I spent with the team so far.” He also expressed his sincerest wishes to his squad to achieve the best positive results in the coming matches locally and continentally.

Responding to a question on his satisfaction with the team’s performance during the short period he spent with the team so far, he said: “Unquestionably, Al Ain is a big team and when big teams appoints a new head coach this doesn’t require an adaptation period as much as it requires that the team plays well and achieve the best results to win trophies.” He stressed that he knows well the requirements of the club and the fans in the coming stage. “I am so satisfied and happy with the team’s performance during the first and only match for me with the team so far.”

Commenting on the significant drop in fans’ numbers attending the team’s matches, he said: “Professional football clubs relies on the support of the loyal fans of the team. We do need the support of our fans in the coming matches as they are the team’s success partners. I have no idea why the number of fans attending matches dropped down in general, but we all need the club’s lovers to be behind the team during the coming matches. I do ask them to support the team’s aspirations to be a more powerful team and be able to win all the coming challenges.”

On the expected absences in the coming match, he said: “We will miss Ismael Ahmad due to receiving his third yellow card during the past match against Al Nasr. As for the remaining players, we will assess their fitness and readiness during the scheduled two pre-match training sessions.”
