The Boss head coach Pedro Emmanuel stressed that his squad’s upcoming matches are so crucial as everybody knows that the team is placed in a not right spot on the league standing table.

“We did not perform well as planned in the first match of the second half of the League. If we desire to win the upcoming clash match against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai and snatch the three points, we have to be defensively strong and keep our sheet clean, not as what happened in our recent match. This what we are working on and be ready for,” Pedro stated in the pre-match press conference dedicated for matchweek 15 of the Arabian Gulf League scheduled to be held at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on Friday 5th February 2021 at 08:00 p.m.

He emphasized that they would play against a strong opponent at home and that the team is eager to win the three points.

The head coach of Al Ain shed light on the central problem facing the team, which is the absences. He stated that the coaching team would overcome such a challenge by giving the first eleven players train together the whole week to maintain harmony among them.

He hailed the team stars by pointing out that they are together for a long time and work hard to achieve the desired success. “All of them here try to do their best and keep their performance to the highest levels in preparation for the coming clash match.”

As for the chances to win the match, he stated: “When you play such clash matches at home, chances to win will be 50% for each team. However, we will fight till the end and do our best to make it 51% to earn the match points.”

He confirmed that the team has many players, but when you miss six, seven, or eight players every week, it will not be an easy mission. “It should not be this way, and it is abnormal.”

On the other hand, Pedro stated that when his team plays big matches, and Al Ain is used to playing such games, their reaction is much better than usual. “The players’ performance usually at its best, and you remember our match against Al Jazira in the first half of the League. The team’s performance was fantastic in the first half, with high commitment to the plan and the quality of playing with or without the ball. This is what we will do our best to do in the coming match. We all know what we are meant to do, and we have to be in our day.”

He put an accent on the fact that all the Boss stars prefer to play such big matches and that when they are on the pitch, they boost up their efforts to 101% to ensure putting firm hands on the match’s three points. He said that he is well aware of how difficult it will be, but he trusts his squad’s skills and quality.

Commenting on the team’s current spot in the standing table, he said: “We are so determined to move from the fourth spot to be one of the first three teams. This is our objective at present, as we must be realistic and transparent. We do not want to be in the fourth, fifth, or sixth spot, and we eagerly look forward to being at the top and be in the first or second place. We will fight to top the team, and if we fail to do so, be in the second or third spot at least.”
