Al Ain to Face Bahrain’s Al Muharraq in a Behind-Closed-Doors Friendly Match

Matar Obaid Al Dhahiri, Manager of Al Ain First Team, emphasized that Al Ain’s FC players have already resumed their training sessions in preparation for the new season with high morale. During the meeting held by Al Ain FC Management and attended by the players and both the administrative and technical staff prior the kickoff of the first training session at Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium following their arrival from Austria Camp, all the players pledged to show their best in the first match for the team in the new season against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal in the AFC Champions League quarterfinals.
“The team’s conditions trigger our spirit of confidence and optimism, add to that the players’ desire to achieve the best results at the local and continental levels. We have full trust in the team’s players and technical staff. We do hope that we will succeed in achieving the desired goals in line with the priorities set by the Club Management before the kickoff of the new season preparation programs,” he added.
In response to a question on the team’s program during the last phase of preparations for the new season, he said: “After returning back from the away training camp, the head Coach granted the players a two-day rest. The team resumed their training sessions as of Saturday evening with all squad lines are complete and with the participation of all players, including players returning from injury.”
He concluded by saying, “It is decided that Al Ain will play a behind-closed-doors friendly match on the evening of Tuesday 15th August against Bahrain’s Al Muharraq FC. I believe that the confrontation is a good opportunity to play against one of the distinguished Gulf teams.”
