“Al Ainawi” midfielder Mohsen Abdullah stressed the importance of his team’s robust appearance against their hosts, Al Wahda, in the match scheduled to be held at Madinat Zayed Sports Stadium on Friday 16th February as part of the quarter-finals of the Arabian Gulf Cup. He emphasized: “We have to compensate for the team’s loss of the first leg match and achieve a positive result that tilt the scales in favor of the “Boss” and move forward to semi-finals.”

As for the expected absences in the coming match, he said: “As it is well-known, the “Boss” is fighting on numerous fronts locally and continentally this current season with the aim to compete to clinch titles and not only for the mere purposes of participation.” He went on to say: “Missing the efforts of any player of the squad is influential. However, the “Boss” has represented the famous saying of “Al Ain prevails regardless the names”. Therefore, any player has the chance to defend Al Ain’s logo in any match will be up to it and meet the expectations of the head coach and loyal fans.”

He added: “The Arabian Gulf Cup is a valuable opportunity for young players to prove they worth wearing Al Ain’s jersey.
