H.E Ghanem Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of Al Ain FC Company, congratulated the UAE visionary leadership, Nationals, expats and all football fans on Al Ain’s qualifications for the 2016 AFC Champions League finals.
“The qualification is an important step; yet, the most important step is to be taken by Al Ain. It isn’t against the odds for Al Ain to cruise for the AFC finals; they were the 2003 winners and the 2005 runners-up, and now they’re back to the finals for the third time,” he said.
He pointed out that now Al Ain needs to shift attention to their next encounter against Al Nasr in Dubai at the 4th Round of AGL tournament.
Al Hajeri stressed that Al Ain needs to return the generous support and auspicious patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi Emirate, First Deputy President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, and First Deputy President of the Honorary Board of the Club, by making further achievements that delight everyone. “His Highness’ message to the team following their qualification to the AFC semifinals was the most significant motive behind Al Ain’s advancement to the finals,” he commented.
“On my behalf and on behalf of all fellow Board members, players and fans, I’d like to congratulate His Highness on qualifying for the AFC final, and we hereby reiterate our full commitment to the strategy of success set by His Highness which always brings Al Ain to the forefront of the Asian teams,” he added.
Al Hajeri also lauded the unparalleled bravery and dedication of Al Ain players in defending the Club’s logo during the Asian championship. “The players such as the goalkeeper Khalid Eissa, defender Ismail Ahmed and Mohammed Fayez have outdone themselves and overcome their injuries and bad heath conditions to defend the club. Such sacrifice is not uncommon for Al Ain iconic players”, he commented.
Al Hajeri also expressed his deep appreciation for the generous initiative taken by the UAE Football Association chaired by H.E Marwan Bin Ghalita, when they came to Doha in support of the team by attending the training sessions and cheering the team during the match.
He also praised the hardcore fans that drowned the stadium with purple and provided all kinds of support to lift the players’ morale. “Our fans always prove that they are the secret of all the praiseworthy achievements and victories made by Al Ain.” He concluded.
