Fayez: We’re quite ready to take on El Jaish
Al Ain’s ‘international’ defender, Mohamed Fayez, assured that all players are physical and mentally ready to play their AFC away semifinal versus Qatar’s El Jaish tomorrow; “Our main intention is to win over rather than draw with our Qatari hosts building on our good results especially in the crucial stage of the current AFC competition,” he said.
He also assured that their intention would not be to defend their first-leg victory but to score and win the game; “Resorting to a defensive pattern will create many challenges to us; therefore, we’ll adopt the rule that attack is the best form of defense,” he added.
He viewed El Jaish as a powerful team with excellent local and foreign strikers who can pose threat to Al Ain; “But we have powerful defenders who can protect their goal and stand firm to Qatar’s attacks; besides, our collective style is a privilege to us. Hopefully, luck will be on our side tomorrow.” He concluded.
