During his meeting with U-15 Squad, H.E. Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of Al Ain Football Club Company, expressed his pleasure with the rise of the team’s improvement indicator which relies not only on match results, but also monitoring the mechanism adopted by the players to deal with each other, their commitment to the Club’s vision and institutional values, implementation of the administrative and technical directives, behavior, rate of their academic progress and many other factors. He stated: “This is because Al Ain is not a mere football cub, but a comprehensive sports entity whose leadership furnishes all grounds for supremacy and excellence in all areas based on a clear and successful strategic plan.”

Al Hajeri hailed the efforts of Coach Abdul Raza Barzkri, who has been outstanding throughout his career as one of the most exceptional players. He emphasized: “Barzkri is also one of the best coaches in junior stages at the State level. He enjoys quality skills and strict standards in assessment, and above all has been working in Al Ain Cub so far for nearly 25 years. He is never satisfied except with excellence, and this why current former stars of the team always remember his training period because he has the skills that would contribute to the development of the capacities and potentials of any football player. As a matter of fact, it is necessary to focus on taking advantage of his experience and he indeed deserves appreciation by everyone.”

While addressing Al Ain’s juniors, Al Hajeri emphasized that the development of football negated the belief that a player should be over 20 years old to reserve his position in the world of football or to join the first national team because the development has enhanced the concepts of excellence to snatch the transit card regardless the age category. He stated: “In consistent with such developments, the Club’s strategy adopts the policy of promoting distinct players from junior teams and have the chance to step up to play with higher category teams.  This means that those who are the most distinguished and more keen to develop their skills and maintaining their health and physical fitness may have the chance to be an option of the first football team. We have lots of such as the Arsenal’s Walcott who joined the first team in the Premier League when he was only 16 years old. Of course, no need to go back too far to talk about Pele or Maradona or even Ronaldo and Messi. But let’s look at France’s Kylian Sanmi Mbappé who turned to be a star at the age of 16. He is now 18 years old and is classified as one of the most famous football stars worldwide. Actually, experience is required but quality is more important and player could improve it each year and enhance it by the factor of experience.”

Concluding his meeting with the squad, Al Hajeri said: “The first player to be one of the options to join the first football team will receive a valuable award presented by the Chairman of Al Ain Football Club Company. I do hope to witness a real competition among you by adhering to the best practices that definitely would lead you to achieve your ambitions.”
