Al Hajeri Stresses that While Marking the Year of Zayed and Golden Jubilee We Enjoy Positive Environment
Al Ain Takes Part in Events Organized by Local Organizing Committee of FIFA Club World Cup 2018 in the “Bawadi Mall”
Al Ain’s Aspirations Exceed the Level of Participation Bar and “Purple” is the Global Color
With the presence of H.E. Ghanem Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of Al Ain Club Football Company, Sultan Rashid, Board Member of Al Ain Club Football Company and Sports Director, Zoran Mamic, Head Coach of Al Ain First Football Team, Al Ain stars were keen with participation of the head coach to take part in the events organized by the Local Organizing Committee of FIFA Club World Cup 2018 held in the “Bawadi Mall”. The event was held concurrently with the “Mondial” draw held on Tuesday 4th September 2018 at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich.
Al Ain’s two stars along with their head coach, Zoran Mamic, took part in distributing Ainawi gifts to participants and taking photos with them. The fans and crowds gathered to participate in the special promotional event and to watch the live broadcasting of the draw displayed on the extremely large screens fixed around the stage located against the main entrance of the “Bawadi Mall” where the events were held.
Prior the live broadcasting of the draw, the event program included an exciting competition between Coach Zoran, Mohammed Fayez and Caio Lucas in the skills of sending powerful shots, magic pass, accurate touches, headers and goal keeping.
The competition between the three participants witnessed enthusiastic cheering up. The biggest surprise was that coach Zoran Mamic succeeded in winning the competition by achieving the highest total points. Caio was significant in the competition of the charming touches, while Mohammed Fayez placed first in palming off balls.
On this occasion, Al Hajeri, Chairman of Al Ain Club Football Company, expressed his pride and pleasure to host this international football event for the third time in the UAE with the participation of Al Ain Club in the current edition.
Following the announcement of the official results of draw, Al Hajeri said in a press statement: “This year is exceptional for everyone for it is announced to be the “Year of Zayed”, may God rest his soul in peace, which is enough for us. Also, we consider this year exceptional because the “Purple” becomes the global color of the year 2018. It is exceptional indeed as Al Ain won the two historic titles of the Arabian Gulf League and the President’s Cup. Not forget that this year we are marking the Golden Jubilee of Al Ain Club.”
He added: “The “Boss’” aspiration in this coming “Mondial” is not only to participate in the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup. The “Boss” is representing our dearest homeland and all Arabs in this international championship. We wish the organizing committee all the best and be elegantly successful in organizing such a remarkable event as we are accustomed to do in all events hosted by our beloved UAE.”
Commenting on a question on his opinion that Al Ain will not play against Real Madrid in the semifinals, he said: “When you play in the Club World Cup, there will be a heated competition among the champions of all continents. I do believe that competition spirit will be present in all stages and as of the championship early stage.” He concluded: “Al Ain is fully ready to play against any team and in any stage.”
