Al Mazrouei takes pride in Omar Abdurrahman
H.E Ahmad Humaid Al Mazrouei, Vice-Chairman of Al Ain FC Company, expressed his great pride in Al Ain’s leader and UAE National Team player for winning the ‘Asian Footballer of the Year 2016’ Award and most importantly for retaining the same award in the United Arab Emirates for the second year in a row.
“We have the right to take great pride in Omar who made the Asian Football Confederation feel proud to have a valuable player like Omar Abdurrahman playing in the AFC Champions League exactly as UEFA is proud to have Messi and Ronaldo playing in the UEFA Champions League,” he said.
Al Mazrouei pointed out that the award doubled the Emiratis’ delight as it coincided with the UAE 45th National Day Anniversary hoping that Omar, his teammates and the National team will achieve the desired results in future.
“I’d like to take this occasion to praise the great efforts made by everyone including the coaching, medical and admin staffs, the players and the fans; each one of them supported Omar from their respective position.” He concluded.
