Matar Obaid Al Zahery “Al Sahbany”, Director of Al Ain first team, asserted that the key to Al Ain win was the players’ sense of responsibility, their Asian experience and their strong desire of honorable presence of UAE in the Asian Championship. All of this led Al Ain to beat Bunyodkor.
Al Sahbany said, “Al Ain does not fear any football team. On the contrary, our opponents do fear from the “Boss” in Asia. If there is any concern, it should be that the team is not in its heyday. Al Ain deserved to win by more than three goals while keeping a clean sheet against Bunyodkor. As I told you, Al Ain players were fully realizing the importance of winning that game.”
