Zoran Mamic, head coach of Al Ain FC, wondered at the timing of his team’s match against Emirates while stressing that “It is too hot day time, and I cannot understand the logic hindering the PLC officials to make it night time as the weather temperatures cool down while it will be over 40 degree, and worse than that is the humidity. All these factors will make it difficult and have negative impact on the players’ health and fitness. We must be cautious and by the end of the day we have no choice expect to win Emirates and snatch the three points.”

In the pre-match press conference dedicated to his teams against Emirates in matchweek 1of the Arabian Gulf League scheduled on Friday, Zoran Mamic stated that the challenges awaiting his team this current season are massive, given the fact that the “Boss” are meant to win more titles compared to the past season.

On the information he had on the rival team, he commented: “The competitor has contracted new technical staff recently, besides contracting with new local and foreign players. I know it will not be an easy match on the opponent’s pitch. Last season, Al Ain faced lots of problems on the Emirates Stadium and they were not able to achieve a great result. However, I focus right now on preparing my tea and definitely will do our best in front of the home team and show our great potentials in the binning of our journey this season to win the title and back to our fort from Ras Al Khaimah with 3 points in our hands.”

“Al the squad are fully ready for the coming confrontation and there are no absences,” said he in response to a question on his team’s absences. He added: “We have closed the chapter of the Super Cup and we are only focusing on the first match of the AGL.”

He concluded by addressing a message to the loyal Ainawi fans where he expressed his great expectations of their stunning and massive support to their home team. He added that he has full confidence that they will be the added value to the team through their ideal support and will push the team to realise their aspirations and make them happy.
