Al Ain’s Football School Sector and Cruyff Football Sign Agreement to Develop U6-U12 Teams

A press conference was held on Thursday 27th August 2018 at the Chairman’s Lounge in the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium to announce the official signing of a cooperation agreement between Al Ain Football Company represented by the Football School Sector and the Cruyff Foundation, the leading institution in the development of youngsters’ talents and in the field of training of trainers. The press conference was attended by H.E. Ghanem Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of Al Ain Club Football Company, Mohammed Obeid Hammad, Sultan Rashid and Ali Mr. William Jonk, Director of Football at the Johan Cruyff Foundation, and a number of coaches and administrative staff of the football school.

H.E. Ghanem Al Hajeri inaugurated the conference by addressing a welcoming speech stating: “Based on the vision of H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Council, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, to develop the football sector in general and Al Ain Club in particular by adopting the best practices.” He added: “We are so pleased to sign an agreement with the Cruyff Foundation to develop the football school sector at the club. the whole process will mainly focus on the process of attracting players and developing the potentials of Al Ain’s football coaches in order to reach the best sport practices in the areas of training and caring for the young players.”

“Al Ain Club has greatly invested in the football sector, especially the football school, and everyone knows how well Al Ain invests in the facilities and attracting the best coaches. Above all we have a great support to achieve all such tasks,” said he.

Al Hajeri stressed the fact that to reach the highest point of the triangle, we must have a solid base so that the product has a value and be able to create champs and generate revenues to the club. “Al Ain Club base is known to all and there is a high demand on Al Ain players by many other clubs for they are confident that Al Ain players are well trained since their early years. I am sure the Johan Cruyff Foundation will be a partner in realizing further development in all areas at the Football School.”

H.E. Ali Msarri, Board Member, extended his appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Council, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, and the Board of Directors chaired by H.E. Ghanem Al Hajeri for their great support. Such a support that has led us to this moment of signing an agreement with one of the biggest international expertise houses in the area of football development for young players. Indeed, we have been working in the previous period conclude such a valuable agreement.”

Mr. William Jonk, Director of Football at the Johan Cruyff Foundation, expressed his pleasure by signing the cooperation agreement with Al Ain Club which is one of the leading clubs in the region. He assured: “Our foundation will work hard and closely with Al Ain Football School in areas of talent development and selecting players with potentials, in addition in delivering ToT programs.”
