Dutch coach Alfred Schreuder voiced his extreme pleasure with the thousands of fans who were at Hazaa bin Zayed Stadium to support The Boss in their first friendly game, during the pre-season preparations. “The strong presence of Al Ain fans in today’s friendly game against Al-Khaldiya team, the Bahraini league champion, was very surprising for me and the players”.
“We always need Al Ain fans, which was crystal clear during today’s game, as we were one goal behind soon after the game began, but thanks to the strong support of our loyal fans, the players managed to turn its one-goal defeat into three-goal win,” Schreuder said.
He went on, “We are expecting you in our next game, scheduled for Saturday evening at Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan Stadium, against Khor Fakkan, as our team’s last friendly game before going with the official ones”.
