ALI EID PLAYS FOR CROATIA’S DINAMO ZAGREB ON LOAN

Al Ain Club has announced on Friday 13th July that the Ainawi young striker Ali Eid, 20 years, has been officially transferred to Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb for one season on loan.

Sultan Rashed, Member of Al Ain Club Football Company and Sports Director, stated: “Ali Eid is one of the most prominent football talents with whom the club has recently signed professional long-term contract prior approving his transfer to Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb. This will be a very important stage in the player’s professional career given that he won the Reserved League’s Silver Shoe Award for scoring 20 goals in the competition.”

He added: “This important step is consistent with the strategic direction of the Club’s leadership and the vision of the founder of the success, excellence and creativity strategy, H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Council, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club.”

“Ali Eid will be the first Emirati player to actually play for a European club and unquestionably it will be an important step in his career,” stressed he. He also underscored the highly professional level of Croatia in the world of football by highlighting the fact that “Croatia’s National Team has reached the final match of Russia World Cup 2018 and add to that the peculiar long-standing relationships between Croatia’s football schools and Al Ain FC.

Sultan Rashed shed the light on an important clause of the contract signed with Dinamo Zagreb by saying: “The Board of Directors of the Al Ain Club Football Company, chaired by H.E. Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, incorporated a clause in Eid’s contract signed with Dinamo Zagreb requiring the Croatian club to allow the player to play in the lines of the team of the second division if he does not participate in the league competition to give him the chance to acquire the required expertise during his loan period.”

Sultan commended the player’s quality skills: “Ali Eid is one of the most talented players who has recently graduated from Al Ain Football Academy. He is one of the most prominent young strikers with great potentials and one of the reliable players of the UAE Olympic team.”

On the expected gains of such a new experience, he pointed out: “Definitely, this professional experience will be of great gains to the player, club and the national team in the future. Al Ain Club is currently planning to nominate a number of the academy’s players to play for certain European clubs on loan according to the signed contracts with them.”

The Sports Director concluded: “Al Ain Club has also been so keen to give Ali Eid, one of the high achievers in the academic filed, the chance to join a Croatian university in the capital Zagreb so that he could continue his higher academic studies. We will keep in touch with him and follow up his progress on a permanent basis. We all do wish him all the best in his professional and academic career.”

In his turn, Ali Eid expressed his gratitude and appreciation to H.H. He addressed a thank you message to the club by saying: “I would also like to thank Al Ain Club for the outstanding and holistic care and attention he has been receiving during all the past years.” He stressed: “I am fully convinced that playing for Al Ain is the best choice for any player because Al Ain Club is not just a football club but a lofty sport entity.”

“I will ensure not to miss this extraordinary opportunity and push myself to the limit to achieve my boundless ambitions. I know well what I am meant to do in the coming stage and I am determined to achieve the desired results and gains during this important period of my life,” added he.
