EQUALIZING ASAMOAH GYAN’S RECORD NUMBER AND SUPPORTING ISSA AND RAYAN

Al Ain’s captain and star, Omar Abdul Rahman, stated that he was happy by equalizing the record number of his former teammate Asamoah Gyan and achieving the best interest of the team in the first place as all players seek to do so. He said that the presence of four players competing to win the Golden Ball Award is an evidence of their high technical value and who deserve the best this current season besides Al Ain’s goalkeeper Khaled Issa who deserves to be awarded the Golden Glove Award as the best goalkeeper this season. He pointed out: “My teammate Rayan deserves the award of the best local player because he is a genuine mature star who will be something else in the world of football and granting him such an award will be a strong motive for him to be one of the stars who will serve the UAE football through Al Ain Club.”

Amoory stressed that PLC Awards Committee was not fair to his brother Mohammed Abdul Rahman and his colleague Ahmed Barman because they deserved to be the stars of this season based on their stunning performance in all matches. He stated that Japan’s player Shiotani deserves to be recognized as one of the stars of this season also because he exhibited an exceptional performance despite being injured during the first round of AGL.
