Khamis Mubarak Al Kawari, El Jaish Club Secretary General and head of delegation, expressed his extreme appreciation for the hospitable reception held for their team upon their arrival in Al Ain. He also confirmed that such hospitable reception for guests is quite common in the United Arab Emirates and Al Ain Club. “I expect to see today a superb game that matches the reputation of GCC football and proves that both teams have deserved to reach this important stage of the AFC Champions League”, he added.

Al Kawari confirmed that Al Ain’s double loss to El Jaish in the Group Stage does set a standard for today’s game; “Al Ain team returned strongly to their usual performance; therefore, they won’t be easy opponent to beat them today.”

Asked about El Jaish Club’s advancement to the semifinals in a scenario that is similar to a previous advancement of Al Sad Club, and whether he thinks that circumstances are appropriate for his team to reach the final and win the title, he said: “We are currently focusing on both games against Al Ain and then we will see what happens. Our team is complete today and will seek to get the best result from Al Ain’s stadium.” He concluded.
