“I feel so excited following qualifying for the next stage of the President’s Cup and ADIB Cup. We played a string match against Al Wahda, and it is amazing to qualify despite the draw result in the first and second leg matches,” Caio Canedo stated in the pre-match press conference dedicated to his team matchweek 11 of ADNOC Pro League against Bani Yas Team.
He added: “It is great to win the result of the derby match. I believe everyone knows well what it means to play for Al Ain Team with its great history, significant achievements, and big grassroots.”
He stressed that we feel more potent after the derby match and qualify for the semifinal stage. However, he also said that they should focus now on the league.
Caio pointed out: “We do not consider that coming match is a special one. We see it as an opportunity as we play a match every three days. Indeed, this is good as we need not only 11 players but the whole squad of 19 players. There is an opportunity for all players to play, and they should be ready.”
He confirmed that the head coach would grant the chance to any ready player who performs well in the training sessions.
He concluded: “I consider pressures of the tight schedule is an opportunity for the players to reserve their position in the Al Ain squad. This is why we feel no pressure, and it is a chance to involve more players in official matches.”
