Despite winning the first leg, Omar foresaw a challenging second leg; “It won’t be easy; our opponents will definitely build on their powerful capabilities and the home advantage to shake off their first-leg loss. However and regardless of their intention, we’ll defeat him at their home ground,” he said.

He extended his sincere thanks not to Al Ain fans only but also to all Emiratis for their great support and positive attitude; “We dedicate our victory to all Emirati fans,” he added.

He reiterated his commitment to keeping the promises he made after their draw versus the Iranian Zob Ahan and the Uzbek Lokomotiv; “The felicitations will be due after our second leg game in Doha where we’ll secure another win despite we respect El Jaish’s aspirations,” he replied.

Commenting on winning the ‘Player of the Match’ title for the 7th time, Omar refused to accredit it for his own efforts; “It was a blessing by Allah and it was made possible by the efforts and support from all my teammates. It motivates me to always play my best. In fact, the title will be worthless if we failed to win the AFC championship,” he announced.

Commenting on the compliment by El Jaish’s coach, Sabri Lamouchi, who said that each coach desires to have Amouri in his team, Omar said: “I take pride on his compliments which motivates me to unleash all my potentials. Hopefully, I will make a difference in our second leg in Doha.” He concluded.
