Al Ain achieved a deserved win over the visitors. Emirates FC, by 3-0 in matchweek 16 of the Arabian Gulf League held on Thursday 8th February at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium.

The “Boss” scored the three goals during the first half by Hussein El Shahat “3, Ahmad Khalil “16” and Caio Lucas “40”.

The win earns Al Ain three points to move up to 38 points, two points clear at the top of the table while Emirates drop to the bottom of the table with 11 points.

Home team did not give the visitors any chance to take their breath when unexpectedly scored its first goal held the signature of Egypt’s Hussein El Shahat who translated a tactical tiki-taka passes into a stunning goal. The attack started by Ahmad Khalil when he sent a charming pass to Marcus Berg who break through the box prior sending it back by a sporadic ground and deceiving pass to El Shahat who confidently sent it powerfully into the top of the net of the goalkeeper and Al Ain took the lead of the match at “3”.

Al Ain goalkeeper, Khaled Issa was the star when he neutralized a counterattack led by Sebastian Sasha who was alone and face to face with Khaled Issa and sent a powerful shot just few centimeters away from the goal. Khaled Issa reacted professionally and sent the ball away and kept his net clean.
Ahmed Khalil added the second goal for the “Boss” when he succeeded in translating an organized attack kicked off by Caio when he passed the ball to Hussein El Shahat who break through and rounded the Emirates’ goalkeeper before sending a pass to Khalil who did not hesitate to launch a rocket directly into the visitors’ far corner of the net “16”.
Brazil’s Caio Lucas boosted his team’s result by a ground-breaking rocket from outside the box, which the Emirates’ goalkeeper could not handle “40”.
Five minutes and the Referee whistled announcing the end of the first half by taking the lead by 3-0.
In the second half of the game, the two teams were satisfied by the result of the first half of the match and Al Ain players wasted numerous easy chances to increase the number of goals prior the Referee, Ahmad Issa, whistled ending the match with a final result of 3-0 in favor of Al Ain.
