Caio, Ajab and Meziane Will Not Play Next Match.. Leko: Al Ain Fears no team and looking forward to seeing our loyal fans in Sharjah Stadium
“Caio Canedo, Abdul Rahman Meziane and Mohammed Abdul Rahman will miss the coming matchweek 3 of the Arabian Gulf League against Sharjah due to injury,” Croatia’s Ivan Leko stated in the pre-match press conference held at Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain Club.
He underscored that despite missing key players, the most crucial factor that dominates the atmosphere of the squad is the spirit of one team. “It is the spirit of the team and the collective style of playing that make the difference. We could improve our performance, and we will not buy any excuse simply because we are Al Ain, one of the most prominent football teams in the continent with all due respect to the competitors and above all we fear no other opponent.”
Leko hailed Sharjah team while highlighting their qualities. “We know well against whom we are playing this Thursday. It is a good team with quality players. The confrontation is a weighty challenge for both teams. However, the Boss squad has great quality stars who undoubtedly could make the difference, given that we analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of our squad in the past two rounds. We all know what we are meant to do to achieve our pre-set targets. We are all excited and ready to win the challenge of the winners of the last season title.”
Responding to a question on whether he has concerns regarding the upcoming clash match, he said: “My team has the best quality and skilled players who have genuine determination to win all opponents supported enormously by our great loyal fans.”
He concluded by hailing the fans who attended round 2 match against Al Wasl by saying, “We felt we were playing at home, and we will be waiting for them this coming Thursday.”
