Al Ain defender Ismael Ahmad stressed the importance of winning the home team considering that all the players are so keen to do their best and well powered to snatch the match three points. “With all due respect to our opponent, we are determined to be back home with three points in our hands though we are playing against Sharjah who will play at home and among their grassroots. We all are looking forward to seeing our loyal fans in the standings of the stadium.”

As for the suffering of the backline of the team especially against noncompeting teams to win the title like Bani Yas and Ittihad Kalba, he said: “When you talk about friendly matches, usually there are certain targets that the head coach wants to achieve by playing trial matches. Definitely, we achieved great gains by playing all friendly matches. Concerning our match against Ittihad Kalba, we committed certain mistakes, and the head coach analyzed them, and we did handle them. Indeed, no one in the football world who does not learn from their mistakes.”

On the challenge he might face when playing against the strikers of Sharjah, he said: “Prior challenging any player, I always challenge myself and work hard to boost my concentration level during the whole minutes of the match and I leave the idea of challenging Ismael Ahmad to other players.”
