Croatia’s Head Coach of Al Ain First Football Team Zoran Mamic said that his team has to move beyond the match of Al Jazira and to focus on the coming confrontation of Dibba, particularly they are exhibiting great performance in the previous rounds. He stressed that Al Ain has no option except winning the home team with all due respect to their ambitions.

During the pre-match press conference dedicated for the match of Al Ain against Dibba, he stated: “We are facing several problems including the absence of key players. However, we are accustomed to face these circumstances and we will work hard to do our best and come back from Fujairah with three points in hands.” He added: “We do not suffer from any pressure and actualities impose on any head coach leading a big team to achieve great results. Yet, sometimes the players do all what is meant to be done on the pitch but they might miss the good luck.”

“I assure you that Caio Lucas will be the man of the match of Al Ain against Dibba in matchweek 9 of the AGL,” said he in response to a comment regarding his criticism of Caio following the end of the previous match and the campaign launched by others against Caio in the social media platforms.

Commenting on a question on his plans to play against a team who plays openly, he pointed out: “It is difficult to talk about the style of play before the kickoff whistle. However, in my opinion Dibba plays defensively as six players are tasked to carry out defensive roles by 99% while four players carry out the offensive tasks. Actually, the opponent team has skillful and quality players and good at set pieces and we are required to deal with such situations carefully and cautiously.”

“Amer Abdul Rahman and Bandar Al Ahbabi were injured in the last match and one of them is expected to participate in the coming match. If both are not able to play, we have to find alternative solutions. This coming Thursday the team will miss Dyanfres Douglas, Tsukasa Shiotani and Mohammed Abdul Rahman, added he.

“We are definitely focusing on winning the title of the Arabian Gulf League and there is nothing prevents us from topping the standing table by the end of the first round of AGL, particularly we still have three match with nine points,” said he commenting on a remark whether Al Ain will be the champion of AGL winter round. He signed off by saying: “All what we have to do is to show our genuine desire to achieve our goal.”
