Matar Obaid Al Dhahiri “Al Sahbani”, Manager of Al Ain First Football Team, expressed his sincere condolences to Mohammed Obaid Hammad, Member of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Football Club Company and Supervisor of the First and Reserve Football Teams, in his great loss of his mother, provoking to Al Allah Al Might to rest her soul in peace and inspire her family and relatives patience and solace.
In a press statement, Al Sahbani confirmed that the technical and administrative staff had an important meeting with the players in the changing room before the team’s main training session held on Wednesday 22nd November. He stated: “Croatia’s Zoran Mamic made things very clear during the meeting with the team’s players and explained to them the most important reasons that gave the opponent the opportunity to return to the game, which was the small details and not the absolute control that was for the “Boss” during that confrontation.”

On Caio’s carelessness which resulted in the first goal of Al Jazira, he commented: “I will not defend Caio by virtue of my experience as a player and based on my position as a team manager, but any footballer has the right to show off his professional skills during his team’s official matches, in particular Caio, who has always been making us happy by his magic touches and contributed to the team’s great results.” He went on to say: “Personally, I preferred he showed off his quality skills in the opponent’s area. Indeed, football is a collective game and it happens sometimes to have misunderstanding between two players resulting in committing mistakes that lead to a negative result.”

“Al Ain was the best and dominated the match. In the second half, we had more than five guaranteed chances to score but lessons learned in football that if you do not invest in chances you have to expect the punishment. Actually, it happened and the opponent team was able to equalize. It is logic that any team should take advantage of their situation when they retreat prior to advance and work hard to correct mistakes, improve performance and enhance the positive aspects,” said he.

“As Ainawis, we should not allow certain persons to exploit the draw result in the last round to question the players’ capabilities and use the unacceptable phrases and describe them as irresponsible towards their club because the reality confirms that the logo of Al Ain is a medal on chest that each player and member of this lofty club is proud to hold. It is fact that is deeply rooted in Al Ain generation after generation and they are most affected by the negative results of matches than others,” added he.

He confirmed: “Abandonment is not acceptable in Al Ain Club but some people seek to exaggerate things and they did describe the players as reckless! Based on my position as an official and so close to the players, I did feel that they were unsatisfied after the end of the match. Also their discussions were open among them regarding the result because they are one family and do not accept exchanging such phrases against the club or among themselves.” He also emphasized: “We will not grieve for our draw result in the last round because it is something of the past now and it is done. We are focusing on our coming match and return to Al Ain with the three points from Fujairah with all due respect to the ambitions of the rivals who play at home and among their fans. Definitely, winning the match will make the fans happy who have full confidence in the players’ capacities to achieve the desired and absolutely they will be up to the challenge and confidence of the sincere and loyal fans.”
