Awad Al Kaabi: Al Ain possesses the largest fan base among the Emirati clubs in Saudi Arabia

The senior delegation, led by Awad Mohammed Subaih Al Kaabi, member of the Steering Committee of Al Ain Football Club Company and Obaid Al Dhaheri, Director of Corporate Communications at Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, held a coordination meeting this evening in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, regarding the organizational and logistical matters with representatives of Al Fayhaa Club and officials from King Fahd “International” Stadium, where Al Ain will play their AFC Champions League match in the fourth round the day after tomorrow, Tuesday.

During the meeting, it was confirmed that the external Gate No. 6 at King Fahd “International” Stadium would be allocated for Al Ain fans, leading to Gates No. 40-41-42 in Al Ain section, which can accommodate up to 3,600 seats.

Tickets will be available starting from tomorrow on the website.

Awad Mohammed Al Kaabi expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Al Fayhaa management and King Fahd “International” Stadium management for their excellent and professional handling in preparing to receive the first team’s delegation. “The exceptional work system, professional approach, and warm reception are not surprising from our people in the Kingdom, and the reality confirms that we feel that we are in our homeland”, he stated.

During the inspection tour around King Fahd “International” Stadium, Al Kaabi emphasized that Al Ain possesses the largest fan base among the Emirati clubs in KSA, “Al Ain Corporate Communications team and Fan Affairs Office are fully prepared to provide the necessary support to the Al Ain fans upon their arrival in KSA”, stated Al Kaabi.

His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, Chairman of the Executive Committee, and Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Affairs of Al Ain Football Club Company, held an important meeting with the technical and administrative staff and players of Al Ain first football team on the sidelines of the evening training session of the team held today at Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium and the Gym Hall. This meeting had a great impact on the team members, who expressed their happiness and embodied the spirit of one family and one team.

His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed the greetings from His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, First Vice President of Al-Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Club, to all team members in a wonderful family atmosphere.

The meeting was attended by members of the Steering Committee of the Affairs of Al Ain Football Club Company, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, Awad Mohammed Subaih Al Kaabi, and Mohammed Obaid Hammad.

Mohammed Obaid Hammad, the Supervisor of Al Ain First Team and the Reserve Team, said that the meeting held by His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan was important and held at an ideal time as it brought joy to everyone’s souls and embodied the one-family spirit known for “Al Zaeem”. “The Chairman of the Executive Committee emphasized to the players the importance of focus in the upcoming phase associated with significant challenges in all competitions. The team has shown reassuring performance since the beginning of the season, and great clubs are required to continuously improve their performance from one stage to another because our fans’ aspirations are always high. Al Ain entity, which we all an inseparable part of it, including the management, coaching staff, players, and all those associated with Al-Ain based on the one-family concept in this great club, maintains great confidence in the team, and its support for the players will never cease in order to achieve ‘Al Zaeem’ ambitions in local and continental competitions”, he stated.

“During this month, Al Ain will play important and decisive matches in three tournaments, and everyone is aware that they require great focus and doubled efforts from everyone in order to achieve their personal aspirations and bring joy to the loyal fans by the end of the season”, he continued.

Al Ain City Gets Ready to Return to Asia in the light of 2003 Achievement

Al Ain City is gearing up for a return to the Asian stage as “Al-Zaeem” hosts their guest, Ahal FC (TKM), at 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, one of the most beautiful architectural marvels worldwide. In this journey, every member of Al Ain Club hopes to clinching the continental title for the second time, after achieving this dream in 2003. It is noteworthy that this achievement made Al Ain City a sport hub in the region.

The anticipation and excitement have reached the peak among the “Al Ain fans” as the important match approaches. The city has transformed into a vibrant urban centre, and every effort has been exerted to prepare the City to be ready for its return to the Asian forefront. Both citizens and residents have participated in decorating the streets with flags and logos carrying the spirit of “Al-Zaeem.” Banners have been placed at the City entrances and in front of shopping centres to remind everyone of the match date.

“Dar Al Zein” still memorizes the glory when winning the continental title for UAE football in 2003 for the first and only time. It was unforgettable moments, marked by celebratory processions, artistic performances, and the city’s sky being lit up with fireworks. Abdulla Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, praised the fruitful cooperation between the organization and Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, stating that it continues to serve the interests of individuals with determination. He affirmed that sports play a crucial role in the lives of this segment of society, serving as an effective means of empowerment and integration.

Al-Humaidan highlighted previous collaborative efforts, such as the production of sports scarves by the organization’s members and joint sports initiatives with the club. He pointed out that Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club stands as a model for supporting and empowering individuals with determination, contributing to the development of outstanding talents that elevate the UAE’s reputation on various fronts.

As part of the memorandum of understanding, both parties, ZHO and Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, will have access to each other’s sports facilities and venues for the execution of initiatives, events, and sports activities that do not conflict with their respective sporting activities. The organization will also have the opportunity to sell its products through the club’s events, and the club will promote the products produced by individuals with determination.

Furthermore, both organizations will collaborate in organizing scientific seminars, lectures, and workshops related to sports activities. They will participate in conferences and events organized by each other, and free seats will be allocated for training courses and workshops at the organization’s premises for the club’s employees and players. The partnership also includes co-hosting local and international tournaments.

Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club commits to providing space for short, awareness-raising community initiative videos (TVC) of up to 30 seconds on the giant screen at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium during club football matches. The club will provide complimentary tickets to the organization for home games and allocate seats for members of the organization’s board of directors in the club’s corporate hospitality suite during local matches. In addition, there will be a 20% discount on the purchase of Al Ain fan cards and a fixed 15% discount throughout the sports season for the organization’s employees and members at the club’s official store. The club’s players will also participate in selected community events and initiatives organized by the Zayed Higher Organization, and there is potential for collaboration with the club’s volunteer team in the organization’s events and initiatives.

The head of the Al Ain Club Team, Mohamed Obaid Hammad, a member of the Steering Committee of the Al Ain Football Club Company, received at the first team’s training headquarters during the morning training session, the former Welsh “international” player Ryan Giggs, one of the owners of Salford City Club of the English fourth division league.

Giggs attended the morning training session and said: “Our team and Al Ain Team are training in the same area. I am pleased to be here today and just passed by to say hello.”

By the end of the training session, Al Ain head coach Alfred Schreuder and team captain Bandar Al Ahbabi presented Al Ain Team’s jersey to the Welsh football legend and Manchester United Club.

In a statement to the Al Ain Club’s official website, Ryan Giggs expressed his pleasure to attend part of the club’s first football team training session, stressing that Al Ain Team has distinguished players and a great coach.

“I wish the team success in achieving its goals in the new football season,” he concluded.

The Dutch coach, Alfred Schroeder, rewarded his players, Khaled Eisa, and Soufiane Rahimi, with unusual gifts during the dinner held for the team yesterday.

They were rewarded for excelling and achieving the best results during the morning and evening training sessions. They both accomplished the highest evaluation score in the arduous and qualitative exercises that mainly concentrated on endurance, abilities, and focus skills.

The initiative was a pleasant surprise for everyone, and the players fantastically celebrated their fellow winners with applause and chanting songs in their names in a beautiful atmosphere that enhanced the positive spirit in the team camp.

Al Ain First Football Team management was keen to provide all the equipment and tools for entertainment to play table tennis, bowling, etc., in a unique hall designated for practicing entertainment games.

The entertainment room is designed to release players of the fatigue of the arduous morning and evening training sessions, and sometimes they are three training sessions.

The Al Ain Club’s official account on Snapchat published these challenges. Massive numbers of followers remarkably praised the Club’s management for taking care of all the details related to the team and providing amenities for the players in consideration of their intense efforts during the continuous training in the Spain camp.

Al Ain Team Members Surprise Bandar and Jumaa

Yesterday evening, the family of the Al Ain Team, at its summer training camp in Spain, celebrated the players, Bandar Al Ahbabi and Saeed Jumaa, during dinner time.  

The team chef was keen to prepare a delicious chocolate cake under a nutritionist’s supervision on their birthday.

None of the players were allowed to get any bite, even Bandar and Jumaa, due to the diet program in force in the training camp. However, the admin and logistics teams and the hotel workers took care of enjoying the cake on behalf of everyone.

The celebration was a pleasant surprise for the players, especially all the team members who participated, including the head of the delegation, Mohammed Obaid Hammad, a member of the Steering Committee of Al Ain Football Club Company, and the team head coach, Alfred Schreuder.

H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Affairs of Al Ain Football Club Company, chaired the fourth Executive Committee meeting for the year 2023. The meeting was held today in Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium.

H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan opened the meeting by conveying the sincerest greetings of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, First Vice President of Al Ain Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, to all members of the Executive Committee and Al Ain Club.

H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan also expressed his sincerest appreciation to the Club’s President for the confidence in all those selected and appointed to run the affairs of the football and sports companies. He welcomed the new members and wished everyone the best of luck and success in serving the Al Ain Club and its companies.

The Chairman of the Executive Committee also expressed his most profound appreciation to the former members of the boards of the two companies for the dedicated efforts they exerted during their mandate to serve the best interests of the Al Ain Club.

H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan was briefed on the strategic and operational development project, and the improvement plans the houses of expertise supervising the project presented. He directed exploiting improvement opportunities starting from the new sports season while considering the partners’ observations within a week of providing remarks and comments to officers in charge of the projects. 

The Chairman of the meeting was briefed on the performance report for the last season. He directed the presiding officers of the Al Ain Club companies to exert more effort to achieve the planned goals approved by the Club’s presidency.

The Executive Committee also reviewed the financial reports for the last season and the rate of profits and losses compared to the approved budgets, except for specific increases. He urged the departments to compensate for the deficit by increasing the revenues.

During the meeting, the Executive Committee reviewed the financial budgets submitted by the Al Ain Club and its subsidiaries. The Chairman stressed the significance of adherence to the Club’s monetary policy with the need for reconciliation between revenues and expenditures. He also directed to prepare an independent and exclusive budget for the development projects and expenses of the AFC Championships League to be presented to the Club’s presidency.

H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the Al Ain Club’s commitment to strategic plans and institutional values and to keep pace with the signs of development to achieve the highest indicators of success in the Al Ain Club and its companies.

At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Executive Committee instructed them to prepare for the new sports season and work hard to achieve the aspirations of the Al Ain fans considering the continuous and practical support they showed to all teams in various games.
